Category: Ed's Balcony Garden | Posted: Wed Feb 12, 2014 7:13 pm Well friends Im waiting for the next storm. The weather people say we may get 8-12" of snow. Right now its sunny but 19 degrees and they say it might start before midnight. Well I have food and smokes,so I think Im ok. Will post more tomorrow when I have new pictures. What a crazy storm
Category: Ed's Balcony Garden | Posted: Wed Feb 05, 2014 8:06 pm Well friends the storm is almost over,just waiting for the freeze. All I got was freezing rain and rain but many in NJ and in Pa are still without power and may not have power till this weekend. Tomorrow will be another day with this stuff. The Morning show which came on at 4:00AM is still on covering the storm,they just changed on air people. And the best of it we get 2 days of clearing then 2-3 more days of WHAT else SNOW!!!!!!! I hate Winter
Category: Ed's Balcony Garden | Posted: Tue Feb 04, 2014 8:58 pm Well friends I know I complain about the weather, and some have it worse than me. So far we have 37.1" of snow and I'm sick of it. Yesterday was 9" and starting tonight more snow then ICE. I spent all day and night in bed,trying to rid myself of this darn cold. Missed Dentist and Dr.s visits yesterday. Last time I saw this weather was first when I was 9 then when I was working. And on top of all this snow,they're expecting 2' of this stuff over this weekend. Thank goodness I went out on Sunday and got food otherwise I'd starve. Will post tomorrow of the on going junk happening here,but time to take my teeth out as they're killing my mouth. Do have some quick pictures of a couple of my trains from Christmas. Sleep warm ed

Now its 45 outside,but the cold is coming. I probably not out of bed in the morning. BUT I do have some pictures of the new family of Junko's. Waiting for more what else
Category: Ed's Balcony Garden | Posted: Sun Jan 26, 2014 6:43 pm Well friends I'm still sick and this will be short. We have MORE snow coming in about an hour and this is horrible. My plants are doing great,especially the new baby. And I got a new family of birds yesterday. I haven't seen Junko's around my feeder in years but they're here. The funny thing is most birds use their downdraft from their wings to clear the snow. Not these little birds they kick the snow away. That is the first time in64 years I've ever seen that happen. They also don't eat from bird blocks just the ground. Would get a photo but those little ones are VERY fast. Now time for some cold meds and short nap. sleep warm ed

WELL IT'S OVER but cold
Category: Ed's Balcony Garden | Posted: Wed Jan 22, 2014 4:58 pm Well friends the Winter blast is over,but now the cold. We got 14" of the white stuff and I have a head cold. Now its only 4 degrees and to get colder after sunset with MORE snow tomorrow. All my plants are warm and the birds are going crazy for food. I think its time for me to climb back under the covers and try to fight this cold. I have some pictures,I hope you like. sleep warm ed

Category: Ed's Balcony Garden | Posted: Tue Jan 21, 2014 5:36 pm Well friends our 3rd snow storm is here. It arrived around 10AM and there is already 6" on the ground. The parking lot and side walks have been treated BUT you wouldn't know by the sights. With a bird seed bell,seed cake and bread, the babies are keeping me VERY busy. Its coming down so hard I can't see the back driveway. These are the days when I used to climb telephone poles and ladders and wish I was retired,NOW I AM. Now to the pictures that you all like. till later ed

BOY! did I ever tell you I hate Winter!!!!
Category: Ed's Balcony Garden | Posted: Sun Jan 19, 2014 8:44 pm Well Friends, This Winter is WORSE than last year,with more snow and the cold. Its a lovely 32 degrees outside and THIS is only the beginning. Weather people are saying its going down to the 20's in day time and lower at night. That forecast is for next week,even colder the folling week. You know its when I'm eating Beef Liver and onions for dinner. MOST people don't like it,but its cheap and I like it. Spent last 2 days in bed with chills and sweats. Can't wait to chew Drs but out on 28 if I make it. But my babies still have a warm bird bath and PLENTY of food,and for some reason they are eating more bread than seed. When I have to go outside to feed them the blast from them taking off is something. As for my NEW teeth,they are still in bath,I HATE them Sleep warm PLEASE ed

I wish Winter was over
