Bad morning in Bellmawr

Category: Ed's Balcony Garden | Posted: Mon May 06, 2013 7:24 pm

Well friends not only being overcast but over night someone pulled ALL the new plants I planted yesterday.
I know its probably the young kids.
At least they only pulled the plants and left them.
My Daffodils were killed by the dog downstairs.
I try to make this place look better and the neighbors only want to destroy EVERYTHING.
The plants are all back in the ground and with rain coming the brats will be forced to stay inside after school and with carnival in town they will be over there.
sleep warm

I Don't know answer

Category: Ed's Balcony Garden | Posted: Wed May 01, 2013 6:45 pm

Friends, I come again for an answer.
The problem is when I get a potted plant which I know may be potbound,I fear that if I transplant it the plant will die.
Mart your plants are doing VERY well.
I think I'm loosing my mind, and if I'm not worring about myself then its my plants.
Well now that I've spoke my dumb mine I need to get outside and do something.
Thanks for listening and sleep warm.

Got a surprise

Category: Ed's Balcony Garden | Posted: Mon Apr 29, 2013 4:46 pm

Well friends after a beautiful weekend, now we must pay.
But that's not the reason for this post.
The plants are doing good, and this morning as every morning I visit my balcony to check on the plants and see if there are any Mourning Doves downstairs eating seed.
Well this morning I did the same and thought it was a stray dog downstairs, but it turned out to be TOM,a wild turkey.
This bird was huge and he or she came back for lunch.
I also have Mickey here.
That's a mouse about as big as my thumb, who lives under my balcony.
If the rain keeps up I will need an ARK!
Sorry I don't have any photos of either, but now I will be working on it.

Well friends I thank ALL of you for your kind words.
I'm feeling a little better, although the weather is going south from today.
All tomato plants are doing good, and since its going to get cool, Im wondering if they should come inside till the cool weather passes?
I thought of a new idea (maybe me) of how to feed birdbell and loose feed birds with same mount.
Look closely at center of photo.
Also 2 of my Babies waiting on Daddy to go inside to have a snack.

Been missing

Category: Ed's Balcony Garden | Posted: Fri Apr 26, 2013 10:04 pm

Well friends its been some time since I've been here.
Mart the Babies are doing good with care takers.
My health has been bad with much pain in my body.
Have 1 test then Hospital of which I'm frightened.
BUT when pain is ok I do get out,and finally got the flag that I spent my time in the U.S. Navy.
AND to keep my place warmer in Winter and cooler in Summer I'm getting a new sliding balcony door next week.
I hope all is ok with me cause I want to plant MANY flowers in the next 2 weeks.
I know its stupid but the waterfall makes me feel better.
Take care

Happy St. Patty day

Category: Ed's Balcony Garden | Posted: Sun Mar 17, 2013 11:52 pm

Well I hope this computer works long enough for me to get this out.
Happy St. Patricks to all out there.
Cooked a my first GREAT meal in a LONG time.
My fake plants are still doing good.
We have snow, sleet and rain coming tomorrow, which is usual as I have to venture outside to get MORE blood work done.
My 1 question is it too early to plant lettuce seeds, just asking.
Sleep warm everyone.

WOW

Category: Ed's Balcony Garden | Posted: Sat Mar 09, 2013 7:00 pm

Well Friends its been almost a month since I was on here.
You probably thought I died,NO SUCH LUCK!
Its been crazy here and I could feel better, but life goes on.
This is the first time I've been able to open my balcony door without freezing.
You know its close to Spring, as the Phillies are loosing 4-0 in the first inning.
So far we've got 7" of snow this year and another .2" yesterday.
The only reason we got the snow, was I had to go to the hospital to talk to the Dr.
More tests and pain for me:(
BUT the funny thing was, last week I went to deposit my trash and found this beautiful plant with flowers.
You know I picked it up,then my friend came over as I was trying to transplant it.
My friend informed me it was fake,Opps, you judge from the photo.
Birds and plants are all doing good including the fake one.
1 more storm crossing th USA then maybe Spring.
Sleep warm,
Ed
