Another great day

Well friends another great day from NJ.
The Keets are out for the day and its already 79 degrees BUT the high tomorrow will be 40 YEP 40.
Still looking for help on my cactus and I will be uploading some photos of balcony looking for any ideas on how I should place the plants for the up coming new plants and including my 6 House plants who have grown over the winter.
This should be interesting considering you all know I get FULL sun from shortly after noon till sundown.
I would like to be able to sit out there without my knees under my chin.

A Beautiful Day

Friends yesterday was ok for a Winter day but today was great as it got to 75 here and I really enjoyed it.
Tomorrow is even better then the bottem drops out again with cool temps and 4 days of rain.
So me and the keets will drink in the nice weather.
They went out around 10 AM and didn't come in until sunset which was around 5:30.
I do have a slight problem and so I come here.
The pictures is of the same plant but years apart.
Now the problem is how to get a hold of the plant while transplanting as this bugger has some THORNS.

A Bad Year

Friends I bet you think I was dead, well it's been bad.
I've been sick for 2 weeks and STILL sick also haven't been to the store for food and thank goodness I buy extra.
The Keets are being VERY good except as you know they love to talk very loudly.
The other day it was 65 outside and now the ground is covered with snow and its still coming down.
To top everything I've been broke since the 10th of this month.
I'm actually scared to go to sleep at night for fear I won't wake up.

Friends looking when our Eagles won the Super bowl
Im still smiling and I have NEVER seen in my 68 years on this earth.
We have HEAVY rain on Wednesday so parade will be on Thursday.
I wish I could be there but my transportation is not around.

Just a quicky

Keets are sleeping and so will I after a question.
Who knows the best potting soil because the crap I use has twicks and it is well known.
Friends it was 60 the other day and right now ITS SNOWING!!!

A Crazy Winter

Well friends January is half over and I'm glad because the other day we had a snow storm? that was nothing but a waste.
The wild birds are driving me crazy for wild seed.
In fact when the feeder is empty they fly into my balcony door to make noise.
Don't worry its never to hard of a hit to hurt them.
I've been taking the tree and decorations but my helper has been sick for a couple of days.
My keets are fast asleep and I' going to join them after I finish this.
My Summer flower plants are coming alive which I will let you see.

Crazy Weather

Hi friends and welcome to a crazy NJ weather.
Last Friday it was 68 degrees and I finally got to remove the decorations from Christmas.
The keets were out enjoying themselves but not today and we have more snow coming Tues. or Wed. and I'm ready for Spring.
The reason for this post is my old bird bath developed a nasty crack so it goes away and in its loss I got a new bath which is a little smaller but like the old one its heated.
I checked it this morning and the heater was working as there was smoke but the water wasn't hot.
I brought it upstairs so its not to hard to keep up and I will be mounting it when the weather gets better.

Where is Spring?

Hi friends and welcome to a frozen NJ.
Its almost 11 Pm and right after I get off here Im in bed.
Went out today and that was a problem because right after I locked my front door I remembered I left my keys up stairs.
I do have a lockbox on my door for the emergency people.
I spent more on food for the keets and wild birds.
If I was still working this would a day to call in sick but I did go to work on these days.

FINALLY

Well friends we finally got some snow but I think its starting to slack off.
Looking outside it looks like its done but with the super high winds you can't tell and I think there's about 6"on the ground.
I did all my running last night so me and the keets are in nice and warm.
I ordered a airtight container with wheels for wild bird seed and it came this morning and I'm so happy I did.
I know its bad when the Snow is blowned up against the sliding balcony door.

JUST WAITING

Hi friends went to doctor today just for a checkup.
The good man said I was ok but I have to stop smoking.
I must be good cause he doesn't want to see me for 4 months.
Now to the weather and were expecting maybe 4" of snow.
I know other people out there get much more,but here in NJ drivers don't drive THEY AIM for you.
Maybe by Monday the temp will go above freezeing.
I have food but I'm running out but hope to go shopping on Friday.
The Parakeets are putting me through hell by wanting to go out.
I try to explain to them (I'm going crazy)that it looks nice but its TOOO cold for them.
This afternoon I put them out for almost a minute and they were having a great time,but now they're fast asleep.
