A Frightening Day

Well friends it's been a little while BUT today was something that my Keets will never forget.
Yesterday while was out walking I noticed 6 chicken hawlks over head.
This morning I placed Frick & Frack on the balcony for some air and sun.
All of suddent there was a Chicken Hawk on top of the keet cage.
Of course the parakeets were flying around
the cage.
I went and had to get the chicken hawk off the balcony and it did fly away.
For 2 hours I didn't hear a peep from either one.
I thought that Frack was going to die because of her breathing but they are both sleeping,
The size of that chicken hawk was even big for me.

What a Day

Well friends we have 5 days to Thanksgiving and YES I do have 19 pound turkey with all the fixins.
The local radio station started playing the same Christmas music that they have played for the past 6 years.
Its 5:03 and the babies (Parakeets) are all ready in bed for the night.
I have a set of lights over my desk to get me into the Holiday spirit BUT with my Children not visiting me and my younger brother some distant from me I don't expect to see him this year.
My other brother who is in the next town from is always to come visit.
Last years it was a card and $.
My parents have been gone for years and the biggest loss was loosing my Sister D as we were VERY close.
So I'll try to keep my chin up and smile.

It's Winter

Wow friends on Monday it was 75 and wonderful but last night a cold front came thru and its almost freezeing.
We had a high temp today of 56 and now its 36 and high NW winds which causes it to be 36 now.
Had a hard day with Frick & Frack because they wanted to go outside.
They were out once for 2 minutes then spent most of the day in bedroom looking out the window.
Spent a long time last night looking back at all my blogs and they were quite a few.
I brought the plants in and its a little crowded and we had a visitor today and have pictures of the visitor.

Almost Winter

Well friends its almost Winter and I hate it already.
The plants will come in tomorrow as it was 73 today and now its 54.
But believe it or not I still have tomatoes growing.
I'm watching QVC right now and then the news and bed.
The babies are fast asleep as they were outside since 10 AM till the balcony lights came on meaning SLEEP time

They say it's Fall

They say its Fall but with 83 degrees and Im outside with the Parakeets enjoying the weather.The balcony garden didn't do well except for the house plants and the cactus.
The weather people are calling for a cooler end of this coming week.
I hope all my friends who were effected by the Hurricanes this past Summer.

Summer almost over

Well friends its almost over and I'm glad.
At least now till it gets cold I can sit on balcony without the tons of little children who run uncontrolled by their parents.
Did I tell you I'm the only one here that speaks English!!!!!!
Cooked my 1st Meat loaf tonight and it was GREAT.
Hope you all had a happy Labor Day.

Almost over

Well friends the Summer is almost over and for me my gardening wasn't that good for me.
I posted something earlier about my house plants.
As for Frick & Frack they have had a good Summer as they go outside around 10 AM and come in around dusk and go right asleep which is good for me.

Happy 4th of July

Well friends its been a little time I was here and I wanted to wish all my friends a Happy 4th.
Its a lovely 88 outside and cooler inside.
Frick and Frack have been outside since 8AM and yes they have been in their swimming pool.
Im watching a parade and listening to a radio program of Sunday with Sinatra I recorded on Sunday.
I was going to and may still use my gas grill but so far its my electric George Forman.
Saw little fireworks and not sure about tonight.
Have a happy day be careful and sleep cool.
